Sentech's ESG Strategy Integration

In 2023, Sentech embraced an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, aligning its existing efforts on environmental sustainability with the evolving ESG framework. Integrated into our Corporate Strategy, this initiative positions Sentech as a sustainable digital infrastructure company guided by strategic goals and pillars.

To integrate ESG principles into the Corporate Strategy, implement renewable energy and waste management plans, and commit to socio-economic upliftment through CSI, ESD, and SED programs. Maintain BBBEE Level 1 status and provide funding to SMEs to empower entrepreneurs and foster growth, aiming for positive transformative impact and sustainable growth.

On the environmental front, Sentech is actively implementing renewable energy, waste, and water management plans in compliance with South Africa’s environmental regulations.

We’ve developed and approved the Environmental Impact Management Policy, aligning our operations to preserve the environment by reducing carbon footprint, minimising water wastage, and enhancing waste management practices.

CSI Initiatives

Sentech’s CSI initiatives focus on uplifting communities and driving positive change. These efforts include equipping schools with smart board technology, hosting charity events like golf days and Mandela Day celebrations, and supporting shareholder events. ESD Programs

Our ESD programs empower SMEs through initiatives like the Enterprise Development Grant funding, helping SMEs with a competitive edge, fostering growth and sustainability beyond Sentech.
